Maximize You Inc.

Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy

Effective Date: August 26, 2026

Maximize You Inc. understands that circumstances may arise that require a client to cancel or reschedule a speaking engagement, workshop, training program, coaching session, consulting engagement, or other professional service.

Because accepting an engagement may require Maximize You Inc. to reserve specific dates, prepare customized content, make travel arrangements, and decline other opportunities, the following cancellation and rescheduling terms apply unless otherwise specified in a written agreement.

1. Deposits and Retainers

Deposits or retainers paid to reserve a speaking engagement, workshop, training program, or other scheduled professional service are generally non-refundable.

The deposit or retainer secures the agreed-upon date and compensates Maximize You Inc. for reserving that date and potentially declining other business opportunities.

2. Client Cancellation — 90 Days or More Before the Engagement

If a client cancels 90 days or more before the scheduled engagement:

  • The deposit or retainer remains non-refundable.
  • Any additional professional fees already paid will generally be refunded.
  • Non-refundable or non-recoverable expenses already incurred on behalf of the engagement remain the client’s responsibility.

3. Client Cancellation — 30 to 89 Days Before the Engagement

If a client cancels between 30 and 89 days before the scheduled engagement:

  • The deposit or retainer remains non-refundable.
  • The client may be responsible for up to 50% of the agreed professional fee.
  • Non-refundable or non-recoverable expenses already incurred on behalf of the engagement remain the client’s responsibility.

4. Client Cancellation — Less Than 30 Days Before the Engagement

If a client cancels less than 30 days before the scheduled engagement:

  • The client may be responsible for 100% of the agreed professional fee.
  • Any amounts already paid will be applied toward the amount due.
  • Non-refundable or non-recoverable travel, lodging, transportation, preparation, or other expenses incurred on behalf of the engagement remain the client’s responsibility.

5. Rescheduling

Whenever reasonably possible, Maximize You Inc. will work with a client who needs to reschedule rather than cancel an engagement.

If a client requests to reschedule:

  • The new date is subject to availability.
  • Payments already received may be transferred to the rescheduled engagement at the discretion of Maximize You Inc.
  • Additional expenses resulting from the change, including airline change fees, increased travel costs, lodging changes, or other non-recoverable expenses, are the client’s responsibility.
  • A substantially different event, location, format, scope, or audience may require a revised agreement and fee.

Repeated rescheduling may be treated as a cancellation.

6. Coaching and Consulting Appointments

Individual coaching, consulting, mentoring, or advisory appointments may be canceled or rescheduled without penalty when reasonable advance notice is provided.

Unless otherwise agreed, clients should provide at least 24 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule an individual appointment.

Appointments canceled with less than 24 hours’ notice, or missed without notice, may be charged in full.

7. Cancellation by Maximize You Inc.

If Maximize You Inc. must cancel an engagement due to illness, emergency, or another circumstance that prevents performance, we will make reasonable efforts to:

  1. Reschedule the engagement to a mutually acceptable date; or
  2. Provide another mutually acceptable solution.

If no acceptable alternative can be arranged, amounts paid for professional services that have not been provided will be refunded.

Maximize You Inc. will not be responsible for indirect or consequential losses arising from such cancellation to the extent permitted by applicable law.

8. Events Beyond Either Party’s Reasonable Control

Neither party will be considered in breach of its obligations when an engagement cannot reasonably proceed because of circumstances beyond that party’s reasonable control, which may include severe weather, natural disasters, government restrictions, transportation disruptions, acts of war or terrorism, civil emergencies, widespread public-health emergencies, or other extraordinary events.

In such circumstances, Maximize You Inc. and the client will make reasonable efforts to reschedule the engagement or agree upon an alternative method of delivery, including virtual presentation when appropriate.

Any non-refundable expenses already incurred will be addressed between Maximize You Inc. and the client in accordance with the applicable agreement and circumstances.

9. Written Agreements Take Precedence

Specific speaking engagements, workshops, training programs, consulting projects, or other services may be governed by a separate written agreement.

If the cancellation or rescheduling provisions of a signed agreement differ from this general policy, the terms of the signed agreement will govern to the extent permitted by applicable law.
